So What is the function of a hand towel?

Isn’t merely to dry wet hands? Or at best, to clean up
some mess? So is it socially responsible to cut down
trees for this purpose? If we are going to cut down trees,
it may as well be for important purposes such as
furniture or housing construction.

In the process of making recycled paper, impurities such as ink,
dirt and germs have to be removed out of the paper. This requires extensive chemical treatment and energy resources to treat the sludge. Bleach is also used to whiten the final product. All these processes impact on the benefits that recycled paper tries
to achieve.Did you also know that it is never as clean as it could be?
